MIRRI is a distributed, yet centrally coordinated, pan-European Research Infrastructure.
The Assembly of prospective Members (ApM), constituted by the prospective Members/Observers and assisted by the Advisory and Ethical Boards from the IS_MIRRI21 project, decides on the long-term strategy, governance and development of MIRRI.
Decisions made by the ApM are managed by the Chair with support of the staff of the IS_MIRRI21 Management Backoffice (in the future, MIRRI Central Coordinating Unit – CCU), which is the executive secretariat of MIRRI.
The Interim National Coordinators Forum (INCF) is composed by the National Coordinator of each prospective Member/Observer – each Member/Observer designates a ‘National Node’ and a National Coordinator, who coordinates the MIRRI activities of the Partners on its territory and links these activities with MIRRI – and is chaired and vice-chaired by two elected members. They support the Chair of the ApM and the Executive Director, and contribute to the development and execution of the Work Program, as well as enabling efficient interaction between MIRRI and the Partners.
The Executive Director, together with the Advisory Board, is responsible for evaluating aspiring Partners according to the criteria specified on the Partner Charter.
